Tomo's English uses the Manebi SST Method , which exposes children to a large amount of junior high school level English through games.
This method helps children become accustomed to the amount of English they are exposed to and naturally develops the ability to understand and use English.
Characteristics of English used in the SST method
The teaching materials used in this classroom were created by SST method advisor Rube Redfield, who majored in foreign language education at Stanford Graduate School.
Rube Redfield's English sentences are easy for children to understand and are made up of accurate grammar and real-life English .

Learn everyday conversations through your body
We teach students to understand English directly by "listening to it, expressing it with their bodies, and speaking it out loud."
By learning through physical activity, the meaning of English is naturally connected , and children are able to understand English as English without the mediation of Japanese. In each lesson, children listen to hundreds of sentences and actually practice speaking them out loud.
Reading and writing training
Through reading aloud and copying, children will improve their ability to comprehend texts. We provide instruction that focuses on English skills that will be useful in future reading comprehension, exams, and in the real world. With an eye on the students' results several years down the line , we help them overcome their fear of long texts and support them in handling English texts naturally .
