In addition to homestays, participants can experience life in a variety of ways, such as living in a local school dormitory or renting a house with other participants. Living in a dormitory allows you to build deep bonds with local children, and living in a rented house allows you to experience real life by inviting local students to your home and cooking together using local ingredients. Supervisors will provide support 24 hours a day, so you can participate with peace of mind.

Experience classes at an actual local school

Instead of attending a language school, participants attend classes at a local school. Many start out unable to speak English, but by interacting with local children, they are able to understand English after one week and to communicate at a basic level after two weeks. The important thing is not to speak English perfectly, but to have the courage to actively speak to them and the willingness to put in the effort. The local children also speak at a speed that matches ours, so there is no need to worry.

Supporting deep interactions through the buddy system

Under the buddy system, each participant is assigned a local student of the same age who provides one-on-one support during classes and travel. Having a buddy helps participants quickly adapt to the local environment and fosters deep connections. The bonds formed with their buddies are long-lasting, and some students are still in contact with their buddies today.
